Old Tafo Municipal Assembly
Old Tafo Municipal Assembly is one of the 261 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in Ghana, and one of 43 in the Ashanti Region.
It was carved out of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly as one of 38 newly created and upgraded assemblies in 2018. Established by Legislative Instrument 2293, it was inaugurated on 15 March 2018, with Old Tafo as its capital.

Our objectives
What the Assembly works to achieve for the municipality.
Formulate and carry out plans, programmes and strategies to mobilise the resources needed for the overall development of the municipality.
Promote and support productive activity and social development in the municipality, and remove obstacles to initiative and development.
Initiate programmes to develop basic infrastructure and provide municipal works and services.
Promote security and public safety in the municipality, in co-operation with the appropriate national and local security agencies.
