Statistics Department

The Statistics Department collects and analyses data that helps the Assembly plan and make decisions. Established under the Second Schedule of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), it provides reliable statistics for good governance and development in Old Tafo.

What we do

The department's main responsibilities within the Assembly.

  • Collect, compile, store and analyse data using standard formats developed by the Ghana Statistical Service.
  • Provide reliable and timely statistical services to support good governance and development.
  • Supply data for municipal, regional and national statistical analyses.
  • Promote statistical literacy and research.
