Central Administration is headed by the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD) and ensures that government policies, projects and programmes are carried out at the Assembly level. It guides policy formulation, planning and decision-making at the Assembly.
The department links the heads of other government and non-governmental agencies with the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), and manages the Assembly's financial and other resources in consultation with the MCE. It also makes sure staff skills and knowledge are well developed.

Lawrence Webadua · Municipal Planning Officer
The Municipal Planning and Coordinating Unit leads the planning, implementation and evaluation of development projects and programmes in the Assembly.
It leads the preparation of Annual Reports, Annual Action Plans and Medium-Term Development Plans, monitors and reports on development projects across the municipality, and gathers input from stakeholders to shape public policies and programmes.
Kelvin Gyemfi · Municipal Procurement Officer
The unit plans and coordinates the Assembly's procurement, manages the procurement plan, provides input for the annual budget and works with service providers and other stakeholders.
It ensures procurement follows the Public Procurement Act, 2003 (Act 663), as amended, supervises stores management and asset disposal, and prepares and submits annual and periodic procurement plans to the Public Procurement Authority.

The Budget Unit provides technical leadership in preparing and managing the Assembly's budget.
It advises the Assembly on the cost of its decisions, coordinates budget preparation, contributes to the procurement plan and helps prepare the fee-fixing resolution.
Incoom Adom Samuel · Municipal Internal Auditor
The Internal Audit Unit helps the Assembly meet its objectives by evaluating and improving risk management, internal controls and governance in a systematic way.
It reviews how well existing risk controls work, protects against fraud and theft of Assembly assets, checks compliance with the relevant laws, and recommends improvements to internal controls and governance.

The MIS Unit sets IT standards and quality assurance for developing and deploying the Assembly's information systems.
It advises on providing and maintaining computers and office equipment, resolves IT problems, and designs and implements security measures to protect the Assembly's IT systems and infrastructure.
Getrude Nadjat Achelogo · Municipal Information Officer
The Municipal Information Services Department communicates government policies to people in the municipality and educates residents about Assembly activities, such as health screening exercises and campaigns against street hawking.
It reports on the Assembly's daily and monthly activities to management and the Ministry, and compiles situational and public reaction reports for the Ministry responsible for local government.
